United Way BC’s Kapwa Strong Fund
On Saturday, April 26th, the Filipino community was deeply saddened by the tragic events at the Lapu Lapu Festival in Vancouver. This devastating incident resulted in the loss of lives and profoundly impacted many families.
To support those affected, United Way BC has established the Kapwa Strong Fund. This fund will provide crucial assistance to our Filipino neighbours and friends, recognizing that grief and healing require ongoing support.
Eight Ounce Coffee will match all donations made to the Kapwa Strong Fund. 100% of donations to United Way BC will be directed to providing immediate aid, counselling and trauma services, and other essential support to facilitate the community's healing process.
